It's been a beautiful 9 years living here, and I hate to leave. However, in October I awoke to find a strange man breaking in. I confronted him with a baseball vat, hitting him. He fell backwards off my porch, stumbled away and was caught by the police.
When I returned at the beginning of February after being away for a few months, I found someone had broken in and stolen my woodstove. There have been a lot of other robberies in the neighborhood, prowlers and drug addicted vagrants living in the woods.
When I considered building my house I knew it an advantage that if I did not like my neighbors, or where I was living, I could pick up and move the whole house. Now it's in a secure place and I have some repairs to make. This is the first time I've moved it in 9 years, so I'm very happy everything went well.
